DeValle Fire/EMS Station - City of Austin
In a series of five replacement fire stations for the City of Austin, our Alpha & Omega Industries Construction Solutions Division was proud to begin multiple commercial construction projects for the City of Austin – Fire/EMS Stations. We completed interior finish-out and other key construction tasks including, hard surface tile on walls and flooring, carpet, resilient LVT/VCT, and much more. Below are just a few of the project highlights.
The five stations, built over a six-year span, will serve Travis County near the Barton Creek Greenbelt, Loop 360 and Davenport in West Austin; Goodnight Ranch in Southeast Austin; Canyon Creek near RM 620 and Del Valle. The fire department has a goal of eight-minute response times for 90 percent of the calls it receives.
Del Valle/Moore's Crossing’s design-build project was on a fast-track to meet the needs of this booming population in Southeast Austin. The 13,000-square-foot, four-bay fire station is designed to accommodate 16 firefighters at full capacity and includes offices, a large kitchen and dining area, sleeping quarters, a fitness center, and an outdoor patio.
The building was designed to meet Austin Energy Green Building requirements. Behind the fire station is a 6,000-square-foot, five-bay, 24-hour EMS station that includes offices, showers/bathroom, and sleeping quarters. The small metal building alongside the station is an EMS storage building that will house special events assets.
